TSA Bans Lighters from Passenger Planes

The Transportation Security Administration has banned lighters from passenger flights. I personally disagree with the rule, namely because there is little precedent for it to even exist. Passengers can't smoke on flights anyways, so it does not necessarily present a health hazard. Not to mention that it seems to be a bit ass-backwards. Why? Because matches are still allowed. It was a match that Richard Reid used to try to detonate his shoe bomb, and because of that precedent, it should be matches that the TSA should be compelled to enforce. I'm being a little facetious here, but I'm not a fan of the TSA's selective logic.
